By exploring the larger historical and geographical context of the movement that led to Habbet Ayyar, this article aims to understand how Palestinians have utilized, for the past 20 years, new media as a battleground—despite enforced digital colonialism—and how these media served to. At its core, a modular data center is a facility composed of prefabricated data center modules that are manufactured off-site in a controlled factory environment. These modules—containing everything from IT racks and cooling systems to power distribution—are then transported to the desired location. A widespread revolt during the months of April and May 2021 in the Palestinian city of Jerusalem, also known as Habbet Ayyar, responded to Israeli actions aiming to ethnically cleanse and force out residents from the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem, where approximately 3000 people. The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has had an unprecedented impact on the economy and private sector activities of both Gaza and the West Bank. Business activity in Gaza has been crippled, with a significant portion of establishments damaged or destroyed, and many business owners and employees. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector is considered one of the most important Palestinian economic sectors, as any development in this sector will reflect pos-itively on the technological development of all other sectors. Its 65,000 square foot (6,000 sq m) facility in Ramallah, central West Bank, is Uptime Tier III Design certified, and is the first in the country to receive an Uptime award. The 'Al-Berih' facility was briefly detailed. The design of data centers challenges designers to reconcile the demands of technological functionality with the principles of architectural excellence. As the dependence on cloud computing, IoT ecosystems, and big data analytics deepens, data center architecture demands more attention.
